Cherish Spoken Words

Updated: Apr 5, 2021

Since the beginning of my small business venture, I have come across some of the most amazing people & families and learned so much about the beautiful stories and memories they have to tell. The family of Timothy Walters really touched my heart. Not only were they some of the nicest people I’ve ever met but they documented their late father in such a creative yet honorable way that will surely be cherished by future generations of the Walters family.

The first full five minutes of his tribute, is a personally spoken biography of Timothy’s childhood and upbringing. He speaks of his grandparents and great-grandparents at length and further expresses gratitude for how they helped raise and mold him as an individual and how that same influence passed down to his children. These are the moment’s that I wish everyone thought about in their day-to-day life and tried to document. The talks with our parents and grandparents about their past experiences and youth.

I was also asked by Timothy’s daughter to include a very special quote to conclude the video, which I, myself have heard over the years during the sad times of loss. I felt compelled to include it at the end of the video in a way so that it truly came to life and evoked that much more emotion and feeling. Take a look at the end of this project in our gallery and enjoy the following read:

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there. I did not die.
